Product packaging and instructions

When people in a shop see a packaged product that interests them, they pick it up and read what’s on the packaging. This is the second impression stage – the first being the general appearance of the product and packaging. They read the text because they want more information about the product: what it is, what it does, who it’s for, etc. But they also want to know whether it is from a reliable company or some fly-by-night enterprise.

This is where you win them over – with that persuasive text. Clearly worded text – free of errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation – makes that very good second impression that turns an interested potential customer into an actual customer. Obviously you know your product better than anyone. I can help you by giving that text a careful reading, both as a proofreader (for basic errors) and, if you choose, as a copy editor to make sure that the text really sings, rocks and grabs.

In some cases there will be instructions on the packaging. On other occasions, the instructions will be inside  the packaging. Either way, you will want those instructions to be clear, comprehensible and free of contradictions.

I can carefully proofread and copy edit your product packaging copy, user instructions, warranty and other textual material that goes with your product. It is an investment that will pay for itself many times over.
